Wrongs are often forgiven, but contempt never is. Our pride remembers it forever.
I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.
For what it’s worth, it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
Appreciation of life’s smaller moments tends to begin when one realises the whole thing can never be made perfect.
In my next life I want to live backwards.
You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people’s home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day.
You work for 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school.
You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa like conditions with central heating and room service in tao, larger quarters every day and then, Voila!
You finish off as an orgasm!
I rest my case.
We put so much of ourselves into these things. But they are just things.
The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing
